Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Dolichopididae - Teuchophorus?

The costa on this tiny Dolichopodidiae (approximately 1.5mm) does not look particularly thickened, but if it is not Teuchophorus I cannot work out what it is.

Swept from river sediments. T simplex possibly?

Thanks for confirming Stefan. In UK we only have simplex, so this will probably be T simplex.

Hello conopid, in GB at least 5 Teuchophorus species occur.

Hi Stefan,
Idid not phrase that right, I meant that we only have Teuchophorus simplex without ornamented legs. All our other species have ornamentation, so simplex is the only likely UK species to match this specimen.

I think that's right?

Best wishes
