Hello,
this ~8mm fly is from last april from near Heinsberg (western germany). Can it be identified? Muscidae, Phaonia perhaps?

Looks like
Helina evecta (or
H. annosa - you need to see the hind femur to tell them apart).

What we can see is, I think, the tibia - but the critical feature is the ventral hairs on the femur, and I reckon we can see enough of them sticking out under the wing to say that this is
H. evecta. Stephane will correct me if required ;)
