Hello,

JP Durand : France : Rambouillet : 78120 : 04/07/2011
Altitude : 160m - Taille : 5-10mm
Réf. : 74089
On our French forum, several members think it could be
Urophora jaceana. What doyou think about it?
Thanks in advance.

Chere Pierre:
Yes, it is. I'd prefer to see also its femora (yellow or black), because there is a little chance of
U. aprica and
U. lopholomae, which normally have 1st and 2nd crossbands separated narrowlier. The apical pair of crossbands, otherwise, is typical for very dark
jaceana.
Is it shot in a meadow?

Valery,
Thanks a lot. The author of the picture had said it was taken on an Helianthus. I ask him to give more details on the terrain.
