Please help ID. I suspect this is a common easy one... this is the only image I have of this individual.

I'm not sure - possibly - but might also be something like Chrysotachina ... I'd need a specimen to be sure :)

pity that subscutellum is not visible here.
very plumose arista, strong pulvilli, abdomen not too much bristly, vittae present in thorax - typical for Sarcophagidae, also the red-traffic colour of the eyes. :)
But it is Colombia.. and that's why it would be interesting to check if it has subscutellum..

Has Chrysotachina plumose arista?

Hmm, I wasn't sure that it had a plumose arista in these photos ... Chrysotachina shouldn't have a plumose arista :)
