Hi,
This small Empidid male I saw in Austria, Tyrol, Niederthai (1.500 m) in last August. My guess is
Rhamphomyia, can be said more ( e. g., a group name)?
Many thanks, Sundew

Paul obviously doesn't like the poor grey one... Perhaps I should photoshop it a bit :D:D.

I think my reply got lost in one of the horrible 'Lost connection to MySQL server' spells. Possibly a species of the
R. (R.) albosegmentata group species, but the haltereas appear a little dusky. However, the other characters do not suport many other species (groups). If you collected it, I can tell you more (and don't tell me you did not have time to collect it with so many pictures).

Thanks, thanks, thanks in the name of the happy fly that enjoys its life (meanwhile, more probably, it is its offspring) in beautiful Tyrol. The more photos from all sides, the less need to collect (at least for a botanist) :D!
