Paul, I have more specimens similar to this.

What are the key features wrt Clusiodes caledonicus?
Or even better is there a key to european species in english?

Lonsdale, O. & S.A. Marshall. 2007. Redefinition of the genera Clusiodes and Hendelia (Diptera: Clusiidae, Clusiodinae), with a review of Clusiodes. - Studia Dipterologica 14: 117-159.
Most notable characters are three dorsocentral brisltes and two orbital bristles. There are a few others to separate from related species but I cannot recall them now.
