Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Austrian Stomoxyini?

Hey!
Unfortunatley I am not very good in Macro Photography as I am an Ornithologist but hope that the pictures will be good enough so that you can help me identify this fly. I photographed it close to Vienna at our bird aviaries and also so it before at a 250km site away again close to out aviaries (I guess this is some kind of its habitat). Additionally everytime I see it it either tries to or actually does bite me. That's also the reason why I got the idea that it has to be a Stomoxyini. But it doesn't seem to be Stomoxys calcitrans. Probably you can help me out! Thanks a lot in advance!

Reminds me of Chrysops (Tabanidae) but can you show the wings on another photo? :)
