21/06/2011, my garden, Kapellen, Belgium. Before I send some specimens to dr. Pollet, I would like to make sure these are dolichopodids. Thanks in advance!

Dear Jeroen,
it's hard to see, but this might be a male specimen and if it is, then you are most probably dealing with M. truncorum (which has a very slender hypopygium that is folded underneath the abdomen). But again, it's hard to tell and if I am wrong, then obviously Stefan made the correct diagnosis.
