Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Sarcophagid/ Tachinid

UK garden, 9th June, size 5mm approx.
arista hairy, eyes bare. I'm not sure if it is Sarcophagidae or Tachinidae?

I think, it is
Tricogena rubricosa, Rhinophoridae.

The subscutellum on this should be only partially rounded, when compared closely to a known tachinid - and the little "stand-off" calyptrae are another good indicator that you have a rhinophorid :)
