Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Psilidae - possible Psila fimetaria?

Buckinghamshire, England. 27th May 2011.

Is it possible to identify this individual to species? If so I would be interested to know how it can be differentiated from similar related species.

This fly has particularly well defined markings on the thorax - is this perhaps age or gender related?

It could be Psila merdaria as well.
