Hello all,

Recently a photographed this pair of mating Emphidae, I think they are Rhamphomyia species but which one ?

Looking at the galleries the ones illustrated all seem to have black or dark legs, the ones in my photo have brown legs. I realise of course this might not be unusual.

Any advice gratefully recieved.

I would suggest Empis opaca.
