Hello!

this old, blue metallic fly was resting on the forest ground. I would very happy about any comments or advices!

Location: Wernigerode (Germany/ Saxony-Anhalt); 539m above sey level; May 2011

Not a tachinid - there are very few metallic tachinids ;) Looks more like the calliphorid Cynomya mortuorum.

thank you very much for your answer! The long bristles on the abdomen have let me first think about a Tachinid.
