Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Big blue - Protophormia terranovae (Calliphoridae)

Hi,
This fly I met in Thuringia in August 2010. It fed on Wild Parsnip (Pastinaca sativa). The face recalls a Calliphorid, but here I am at my wits' end. Help is appreciated!

It should be a female of Protophormia terranovae.
