Hi,
Yesterday I came across this tiny Dolichopodid running on leaves of
Humulus lupulus (hop). It recalls
Chrysotus a bit but does not fully match the pictures I have of that genus. So I would like to ask for help again.
Many thanks, Sundew

You are right, it is certainly a
Chrysotus, a female unfortunately, which are harder to identify. It looks as if it has the 1st flagellomere enlarged but as I don't have good view on the trochanters, I don't like to guess which species you are dealing with.

Many thanks, Marc - no chance to see the minute trochanters... Till now I knew only
Chrysotus laesus that looked more bluish-green and not thus golden. This one may remain
Chrysotus spec.
