Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Small Sarcophagidae?

I hope someone can give ID for this Tachinidae (as I suppose it is). It's about 5 mm and was found in the Netherlands. The tergites are sparsely dusted.

Could it just be a small sarcophagid? I don't see a subscutellum and there are a lot of sarcophagid features showing :)

I can't find a subscutellum so I think you are right. I allways have problems with these groups of flies:) I'll change the title.

Well, never mind ... the arista looks hairy; the R5 wing cell looks very elongated; there are no median discals; and it just looked quite like those smaller species of Sarcophagidae ... none of those features say it must be a sarcophagid but together they do point that way ;)
