Hi,
can anyone suggest a species this 9mm fly?
I take the photo on 18 May 2011 Kokkola, Finland.

Thanks Stephen!

Could it be a female of Subhylemyia longula

Maybe - I've never found one, and the only genera key I have is for males. Perhaps someone else will know if it can be ruled out from what we can see here.

This is not an Anthomyiidae (4 post dc, rather large calypters). This is a Muscidae, a female Hydrotaea, probably Hydrotaea dentipes (shining ocelar triangle, M1+2 slightly curved apically).
