Hello,
this fly (size 8mm?) is from last october from the coast region in Etretat, France. I don't have an idea for the family. What is it?
Thanks,
Michael

Hey Michael, what did you do so close to my home (Etretat is only 22 km from Le Havre) !
Next time call me ! :)
Your fly is a female of
Coelopa frigida (Coelopidae).

Hello Stephane,
thank you for your answer. We made holidays in the Bretagne (near St. Malo). But with a small child the way is too long to go in one day. So we slept one night in the Normandie. In the morning we visited Etretat, and then went further to the Bretagne passing Le Havre.
Coelopidae is a new family for me. Very nice.
Michael
