Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Muscidae - coenosia strigipes? and prey?

I took these photos yesterday in Pretoria, South Africa. Is the bigger fly perhaps Coenosia strigipes? Perhaps someone can ID the prey as well?

Coenosia is correct, not strigipes.
