Thanks a lot, Saeed!! I have been doing some research and it seems thre is another very similar species in Spain: Ulidia megacephala. Any ideas about how sepate both species? I have more pictures from other angles that might help if necessary.

Ulidia apicalis and
U. megacephala differ in the coloration os halteres, black vs. yellow. However, they are not visible in the picture. I myself suspect them to be the same species.
Lateral aspect with halteres visible would be useful for ID

Big thanks, Valery!! I am including a picture I believe to be useful. Is it Ulidia megacephala then?
And another question, could it be Seioptera vibrans?
I don't know if this is useful for ID, but those little flies were constantly moving their wings up and down. Never saw anything similar (I am very new in the Diptera world though.
Thanks!!

See no additional picture. In any case, it is an
Ulidia, Saeed is pretty right, and not a
Seioptera. If it does not work, just let me know, what color its halteres are.

So sorry, Valery! I uploaded the picture in a rush at lunch time and had not time to check it was right. I didn't notice the file was too big. That is why it didn't work. Here it is finally.
Thanks a lot for your help and your patience. I am very new in this and I am full of doubts,
And I see now why it isn't Seioptera vibrans. Pictures wrongly labeled in the Internet were confusing me. Checked the gallery here in DI and I see it clear now :)

So, it is
Ulidia apicalis Meigen, and Saeed wins!!
Also: Piluca, please
submit both pictures to the gallery: the species has not been represented there yet.

And definitely, I will submit the pictures to the gallery and a third one too. Have loads from different angles. But I will do it tomorrow as I am falling asleep on my keyboard! :S
Nighty night to everyone!!
