Spotted this couple in a park in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Body length approx 5mm or less. ID appreciated :)

Looks like Tachinidae to me and they have some interesting features - head shape etc. But I wouldn't be able to go further than that :)

This may look like Tachinidae, but isn't.
It is Metopia (Sarcophagidae). Very nice picture.

Liekele is correct, this is a pair of Metopia, and in my opinion it is M. argyrocephala. The oriental fauna of Metopia is relatively small, and of those species where the fronto-orbitals are expanded to meet in the midline in the male, I think Metopia argyrocephala fits best. This species is very widespread, and it would seem to fit also with a presence in the city of Kuala Lumpur. /Thomas
