OK, will try to get some decent shoots, since I have it caught & there is no image of male in d. gallery, and will send it to you.
If diptera size is more or less fixed then female comes larger.
Male measured exactly 6 mm, female shoot last year estimated 8 mm, but in any case bigger by my memory:

There is a reasonable variation of size within this species with, I guess, over a mm of difference between largest and smallst males.
