Can you say to me what is the name of this Diptera ?
Distance between both eyes of the male (21mm) (0.83 inches)
Collecting data :
Indonésia
Piste de Mapia (Lac)
IX-2010

Yes? it is
certainly an
Achias. The genus has been revised by David McAlpine from Sydney in 1990s, but I do not have that paper on hand at the moment. Furthermore, it is a large and obscure genus with no possibility for ID based on these pictures.
