Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Heleomyzidae, northern Norway

Found this fly 8. april 2011, in an area close to the shore, in Bodø, northern Norway. Bodylength approx. 5 mm.
Possibly Canacidae? Used INTKEY to get to this family, but have not much experience using keys, may be wrong.

Yes, I think so to after checking the gallery! Thanks.
Get it wrong every time when using keys, but had no idea of family for this one in the beginning. Works better with comparing photos for me, the spines along the edges of the wing are typical for this family??
