Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Australian Platystomatidae?

I think these are Platystomatidae. Is genera possible. The pictures are of two different individuals, possibly male and female.
Townsville, Queesland, Australia.

Toxura or Neotoxura (Pyrgotidae). I'd appreciate saving it until my visit to Brisbane the next year... It is exactly the group I plan to work...

I'd like to help you with these flies but I may not have them anymore. They could be with the Australian Museum, in which case have not been unpacked. I'll check and see.

That's ok w/ me: I plan to stay at AM for 1-2 months after meeting in Brisbane to chop all the stuff in there.
