Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Muscidae Muscina levida?

Hello!

This I took on 12th March 2011, my garden near Lincoln UK. Size ~6mm. Muscina prolapsa is very similar!

Hi, Janet!

You really find the same species at the same time ;)

I did not post mine (from yesterday), because I was rather sure of Muscina levida (all dark legs; those of yours seem lighter, so better wait for experts).

Lol! There really isn't a lot of difference!

The r4+5 cell is where I had thought it was, I think! As marked in red..

Uhh... I thought with those completely dark legs only M. levida is possible...

(I really have to look more at the wing venation...)

Muscina levida has black palpi and in Muscina prolapsa the palpi are yellow ...
