Hello,

The arista on this don't appear to be haired like Hylemya urbica or vagans. 6th November 2010, my wall near Lincoln UK.

Midtibia seems yellowish, but i think it is from the flash or background.
Arista not long haired and strong ad on hindfemur..
Seems Botanophila fugax to me..

Oooh I thought it might be Botanophila fugax, but it looks much prettier! I must have taken it's best angle. :D

It is strange that the mid tibia looks yellowish from both angles, that's another thing which put me off Botanophila fugax. Are they always black, maybe this was a fresh fly?

I checked out Pegomya hyoscyami after your suggestion for the pair.

Could this male be Pegomya hyoscyami?
