Hello Forum,
this fly - which I think it could be a Tachinidae species - I saw today, March 13th 2011, in Hagen, NRW, Germany. The habitat is a wood of mainly beech and oak, 150 to 200 msm. Is a closer ID possible?
Best regards, Josef

the tibae are slightly reddish, moreover, it is too early for Phorocera,

it is Campylochaeta praecox

(note the very long hairs on the eyes as well)

Hello all together,
hello Theo,
thank you very much for your help! Especially, I note the very long hairs on the eyes. Is the picture, therefore, worth for our gallery?
Best regards, Josef

I think probably not - a teneral specimen would be misleading to casual viewers :)
