Hello!

One photo only on 4th April 2010, on a window. Near Lincoln UK. I'm guessing at Eutrichota praepotens because the fore tarsi looks expanded and I had the female.

I have doubt....I am more thinking about Hydrophoria.
Most species of Hydrophoria also have the last tarsomere a little expanded....
Need details of the hindtibia....

Thanks Joke, all I can do is show you a cropped hind tibia from that pic. It might show what you need!

Just save this one as an uncertain Eutrichota praepotens for now.
I have three species of Eutrichota, but no preapotens, so i can't compare.
And the hindtibia is to blur..
So no answer on this one:)

Thanks Joke, I will do that. Comparing the bristles to the female they do compare well, the two long bristles on the hind tibia can be seen. I'll be watching out for it this year! :)
