Thread subject: Diptera.info :: 'February-Fly' NO1 --> Heleomyzidae sp.?

Hi again,

still two 'early Flies' left. The following pic is taken on 02/20/2010. Iīm sory about the quality, I wasnīt quite that comfortable with Macro photography. I only looked after birds :D

I really got no idea about this one. Itīs probably not very rare, itīs often to see on a sunny spring day. Even though thereīs still snow on the ground!

Any ideas?

Looks like a quite big family. But I think most of them donīt fly in February, so is it maybe possible to name this fly a bit more exactly? Anybody?
