Hello guys,
found this fly some days ago in my flat. I thought of a kind of Anthomyia-species. Maybe A. liturata? Probably a female specimen.
Any help appreciated!
Cheers,
Marcel

At first, welcome to this forum!

Name of photo has to bare capital and a space between words.
Maybe this will help...

Hi Joke,
thanks for the warm welcome!
O.k, let me try to explain my problem :):
If you post a reply and you want to attach a picture from your computer, may I use this little box called 'attachments'? You can open an image from your 'home Computer' to this box. But what then? Thereīs no button like 'upload' or something. What Do I have to do then?
Please help :)

2: write something in the frame "Message"
3: upload your photo with "Attachment"
4: than just click on "Post Reply"

something :D
Oh man, itīs still not working!
O.K. this canīt be too difficult. Or am I too stupid?
There is a box called 'Attachment', right? You can OPEN your picture in that little box, but you canīt UPLOAD it. If you 'open' a picture from you PC and you press the button 'Post reply' then thereīs no picture at all. Whereīs the upload button?
Or maybe Iīm just not made for this brilliant Forum :o
Whohoooo! I made it! B)
I still donīt get how to load an image directly on this Forum. I loaded the pic on another page and pasted the Link here. Not quite the fastest way, but it works!
So, anybody knows this fly? Am I right with my guess?

Am I right with Anthomyia liturata? Or maybe another Anthomyia-species?
Please help!

Congratulations :D
But maybe you have to check again the filename (without spaces and catures) and if the sice of the foto is to large (mostly i use around 1000 pixels and 7 for quality)
And about your fly......looks more like Phaonia tuguriorum (Muscidae)

Thanks Joke!
I was probably confused about those dark wing spots, what made me guess on an Anthomyia-species. Alright, Phaonia tuguriorum sounds good. Checked some photos --> Fits !
Somehow the pic-upload doesenīt really work with me. Iīll try again (with your tips) and see if it works. If not...well...then Iīll do it the old-fashioned way ;)
Cheers,
Marcel
