I haven't got the feel of the ackland key as yet so I'm asking for a few named specimens. So is this referable to a genus or species please? Femora and tarsi black, tibiae dull yellow, front tibiae very dull. Arista long plumose, eye bare, 2 pre d/c 3 post d/c.
Regards

Hylemya variata/urbica
Differents:
H.urbica= longest rays of arista about as long as width of postpedicel and male frons at narrowest part more then half as wide as outer distance between posterior ocelli.
H.variata= longest rays of arista distinctly longer than width of postpedicel and male frons at narrowest part at the most half as wide as outer distance between posterior ocelli.
(key Verner Michelsen)
I would say..H.variata
