In my ignorance, I see it similar to other specimens identified as Chironomus. Is it?. Could be identified more accurately?
Is about one centimeter long.
In the wetland Pond Suarez in Motril, Granada, Spain.

It is a male of tribe Chironomini. It is likely in the group of genera containing Chironomus, based on appearance and what I can see of terminal appendages. Somebody who knows European species may recognize it. Few Chironomidae are as long as 1 cm, head to tail.

Thanks John Carr.
Wait and see if someone who knows the European species, can give us your opinion.
A greetings
