Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tabanidae -> Hybomitra aterrima var. auripila

Hello,

this Tabanidae is from last july from about 1800m in Switzerland. In the gallery I found Hybomitra aterrima. Is this correct, or what can be said about it? Length was about 11mm.

Yes, this is the var. auripila of Hybomitra aterrima, which used to be a separate species (in case you are checking older literature)
