Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Ceratopogonid from Guyana

Taken in October in lowland Amazon rainforest (Iwokrama rainforest reserve), Guyana. Is a closer ID possible on this guy? It is feeding on a lichen mimicking katydid.

Tricky to get good resolution on these tiny flies. Shots are at 5X mag. with mpe-65.

genus Forcipomyia, female.
