Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Calliphorid Bellardia? (wasTachinidae Macquartia?)

Hi,
18th May 2010, my garden near Lincoln UK. This one is confusing, I thought it could be Macquartia tenebricosa but I'm guessing.

The arista is plumose, so it can't be Macquartia.
Actually, it is not a Tachinid but a Calliphorid, most likely Bellardia

OH darn, I had noticed the small amount of hairs on the arista but thought it must be an exception! The face seems to protrude a lot.
