Dear ff 57
On 18-12-2010 your posted a very nice picture of Tipula (Pterelachisus) berteii on Diptera-info. It was identified as Tipula pagana by Roger Thomason but that is incorrect. pagana is not known from Italy and its females have longer wings. Furthermore, it is not a winterspecies whereas berteii is found in winter only. See http://nlbif.eti.uva.nl/ccw/ for more details on this species. Please allow usage of the picture for the CCW website (if so, please mail permission to p.oosterbroek@chello.nl). Thanks in advance. Pjotr
