Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Fly for identification

Hello

I think this may be a tachinid possibly of the genus
Epicampocera or Pales (looking at the gallery photos)

Photos taken in Wales on 22/08/10 in the garden so probably quite common

Hope you can help with identification

Yeah, my guess would be Epicampocera succincta ... the facial ridges don't seem to have long bristles. :)
