Common tabanid of the Kanuku mountains during the dry season (Sept/Oct).

Hopefully the elongated proboscis can help point the right direction. Unfortunately no real detailed shots of the wing venation and hairs.

NO, we'd need the wing venation indeed.

If it is so common, please start collecting !
