Is it possible to suggest a family?
At light, Townsville Australia.

The wing markings remind me of the New World genus
Paracantha so you might check in the Tephritidae. The family can be identified by the course of the subcostal vein ("apical part of Sc weakened and sharply bent forward" according to Manual of Nearctic Diptera).
