Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Scathophagidae species ?

Hello all, this morning I spotted this which I suspect is a Scathophagidae species although you guys might know better ?

It wa scold and the fly was quite wet but repeatedly attempted and failed to fly away.

Any suggestions to the precise species welcome.

S. stercoraria I think...they come in some odd colour schemes!
