Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Psychodidae Psychoda? 2mm

Hello,

I know Phil loves these! :D As stated by Phil..

Psychoda has pointed wings, and the antennae are comprised of flask-shaped segments (i.e. with a distinct neck).

This has pointed wings but I'm not sure about the antennae.. the segments look spherical.

3 pics, one showing it trying to remove a mite. I took more pics, one shows two mites had come off!

That's more like it ! You have to imagine the antennal "necks" a bit - think of a string of beads... As to species, and at the risk of being tediously repetitive, you can't identify these from photos.

Yes, I can imagine a string of beads! Notice I didn't ask for a species? :D But, the info is useful to others reading.
