Slovenia: Koritnice, Kozja pec;, 10. 6. 2008
Size 6-7 mm.
Photographed on dry carstic meadow with bushes.
Is it genus Peleteria ?

NO, it is a member of the related genus Tachina.
In Peleteria the legs are dark, here the tibiae distinctly red.
Was the fly hilltopping ?

Thank you, Theo.
The fly was sitting on the warm limestone rock near the top of the hill, but I am not sure if this was matting behaviour (hilltoping).
