3 dc, tibia3 with 1 pd; 2ad; eyes bare.

Re. Phaonia/Dendrophaonia couplet in Fonseca,

(frontal bristles ending well short of occellar triangle, uppermost weak & not reclinate / bristles almost reaching o.t., uppermost strong and reclinate,

the uppermost here strike me as weak and reclinate?

Interesting : the very long setose sternite 5 suggests Phaonia mystica (=vittifera) (with these other elements: there are 3 post dc, no presut. acr present, legs are mainly yellow, arista is long plumose, and pra seems long.). Notopleuron should be bare (except the 2 strong bristles), and hind femur without pv...

Please Stephane, what is pra?
The diagnosis works very well providing the mouth-edge is less prominent than the frons. I think I can see how it could be so, but my initial impression was the opposite. Between the vibrissi, it seems more difficult to relate to the frons, but I haven't seen a good range of species yet.

Sorry, pra is the abbreviation for pre-alar seta. I confirm the mouthedge is not protruding beyond the frons. Would it be possible to have a close-up of the sternite 5 ?
