Under 4mm, Clitheroe UK, 27 October 2010.

The photo's no good, but I keyed it to A. triquetra from the corpse. It has paired dust-free spots on tergites 3 and 4, and a blurry longitudinal stripe which fades out well before the back edge of each tergite (3,4,5). Does this seem OK?

May be Azelia. In this case:
interfrontals present
coxa3 with hairs on inner margin
anal vein short

Azelia females are problematic even with specimen in hand.

OK, I'll treat my result with suspicion. EDIT: Looking back to the key, it doesn't fit as clearly as I thought, so Azelia sp. will have to do!
