onyl sure that I wouldnt put it into Heleomyzidae or Scathophagidae. Just amateur opinion ...

Frons is shiny - should be S. laevifrons :)

I don't know Jason. I have not arguments to agree or not to agree. In this kind of cases I prefer to have the pretty little fly on a pin and under my microscope....and in my collection ;-)

Andrzej, I will be very grateful if you explain why. Because of the details of the head?
I noticed the dark markings on the wing. I can't see the scutellum well. Neither can i see the 2nd tibiae well.

Details magnified, if that helps. Must say that S. laevifrons looks like match to me.

Some laevifrons have paler wings marking ! ;)
