Hello,

22nd October, sitting on my letter box. Near Lincoln UK. Small, maybe 5mm or less.

Is anything possible from these photos?

Tricky, but the upper image reveals that this is the small anthomyiid Paradelia intersecta: small abdomen with black leaf-shaped sternite V appendages.
