I have a doubt on the genus, although I think Besseria
Collected 17 05 10, size 9mm.

Yes, it looks like Besseria.
Cylindromyia has palps lacking, stuff like Clairvillea and Brullaea has the ocellars reclinate.

You are saying it is Cylindromyia after all ?
It can't be, the topcel is open, isn't it ?
Topcel is closed in all Cylindromyia.

Yes indeed on it is not Cylindromyia.
I badly expressed myself. I wanted to say: ok for the critere " palps lacking "
I have no key for these two genus Clairvillea and Brullaea.

So both have ocellar bristles RECLINATE, very important !
This means turned backwards. Normal is proclinate or turned forwards

If reclinate, than for males
Vertex 0.7 - 0.9 x width of eye, third antennal segemnt 2.5 second, thorax with 2 dark vittae before suture........................................Brullaea
Vertex only 0.3 x width of eye, third antennal segment only 1.5 x second, thorax without vittae.... Clairvillia

So this would definitely be Brullaea
Only species...... ocypteroidea ! So that figures

Both specimens which I have, stayed for a long time in the alcohol. They are damaged. I keep this key for future captures.
Ocellar bristles reclinate fell, for the rest that seems correct.
