Hi,
Only one pic of this, Suillia I guess but is it possible to say more?
9th October on Ivy, my garden near Lincoln UK.

I always find it so difficult to say which species, when I am not able to have the fly in my hand or at least photo of the fly lateral and dorsal. But I guess, looking at the few bristles on the scutellum (at least I think I see them) it is S. notata

Yes I think there are just a few small bristles on the scutellum.
Thanks Ruud, I guess I should wait to see if Andrzej agrees! ;)
