Hello,
Is it possible to say which species this is?
7th October feeding on Ivy, my garden near Lincoln UK.

Looks like
Tipula sp. (possibly
T. paludosa) to me, but I'm no expert. Can you give a crop of the genitalia?

Thanks Jeroen, I have cropped off the full pic, it's the only decent shot I got of the whole insect but the tail end is not too clear.

I'd say 14 antennae segments = Tipula paludosa (male)
