Hello,
I wonder if this one is a Phasia sp. from the Tachinidae family.
It was taken close to Florac, in Lozčre, France. The picture was shot the 24th of September.

Close, it is a member of the genus Ectophasia (the topcel is open)

It would be possible with a male but the females (this is a female) are virtually identical unless you have a specimen ... I think the relative length of the proboscis is the main character to check :)
